Presented by: Dr Centaine Snoswell PhD, MPH, BPharm

Dr Snoswell is a Health Economics Research Fellow with the Centre for Health Services Research, focusing on the economic evaluation of telehealth. She is currently working with the NHMRC Partnership Centre for Health System Sustainability to explore the economic efficiency of implementing telehealth initiatives in Australia.

Since the start of the pandemic telehealth use has increased in Australia. Using national data from the Medicare Benefits Scheme we can track telehealth service provision and describe the changes in use over time. Here we will specifically examine Psychiatry and Psychology service provision before and after the pandemic started (2019-2021) using both descriptive statistics and time-series analysis.
