Circadian rhythm: benchtop to bedside
Dr Oliver Rawashdeh
Dr Rawashdeh is a senior lecturer and the head the Chronobiology and Sleep Research Group at the University of Queensland. His research focuses on the function and resetting mechanisms of circadian clocks, and the importance of circadian network stability on health, specifically on neuronal substrates of cognition and sleep. Dr Rawashdeh’s presentation is titled Circadian Rhythms and the Ageing Clock.
Dr Robert Sheehy
Dr Sheehy is a Consultant Respiratory and Sleep Physician practising at the Princess Alexandra Hospital Sleep Disorders Centre, as well as at the inpatient Respiratory and Sleep Service at the PAH. His research interests include non invasive ventilation and novel measurement techniques of sleep disordered breathing. Dr Sheehy’s presentation is titled Circadian Rhythm Disorders in Geriatric Medicine.
