Dr Ladwa is a medical oncologist at the PA hospital and senior lecturer at UQ. Robyn is the older person oncology CNC. Her background is in community aged care prior to joining the oncology team. She has worked on numerous research projects looking at the assessment of older people with cancer. Her areas of interest include frailty, dementia, and delirium. She is keen to continue collaboration with Ruth Hubbard and other members of Geriatric medicine team.
The management of lung cancer has changed drastically with the introduction of targeted drugs and immunotherapy. An older and frail patient population exists that have been underrepresented in clinical trials. The appropriate selection and management of these patients in this rapidly evolving space has not been studied.
