Alice Tran is a PhD candidate in health economics, postgraduate degree in Economics and has clinical background in nursing. Her research area of interest is health economics focusing on aged care and quality indicators. She has published a systematic review of efficiency measurement in nursing homes and involved in a number of projects: Rapid reviews in efficiency for healthcare and hospitals, and in quality indicators for aged care; Cost of care for residential aged care facilities; Developing a dementia-specific preference--based quality of life measure (AD-5D). Her research experience entails health economics research (Quantitative health economics methods, quality of life measurement; validation of quality of life instruments); Economics evaluation (cost-analysis, cost-effectiveness, and cost-benefit analysis); and Psychometrics.
