Our Patient and Carer Advisory Board operates under a comprehensive Terms of Reference, serving as a vital link between health service researchers and the community of individuals living with dementia and other cognitive impairments. Collaboratively developed with the Board members and our research partners from The University of Queensland, the Terms of Reference outlines the Board's mission, its scope of influence, and its organisational structure. It also clearly specifies the roles and responsibilities of the members, meeting procedures, decision-making processes, and reporting guidelines. This document guides our Board in effectively voicing the needs and experiences of patients and caregivers, ensuring our research remains responsive and relevant to those we aim to support.
