Queensland Digital Health Centre Annual Symposium 2024
We heard from inspirational leaders at the Queensland Digital Health Centre’s annual Symposium, held in The University of Queensland’s magnificent Customs House in Brisbane on Thursday, 7 November 2024. Special guest speakers included Acting Deputy Director General of eHealth Queensland Dr Tanya Kelly; Associate Dean of Indigenous Engagement UQ Faculty of Medicine Assoc Prof Thelma Parker; Senior Director Health Promotion, Health and Wellbeing Queensland Judy Nean; Chief Clinical Information Officer APAC Oracle Health Michael Draheim; and Australian eHealth Research Centre CEO Dr David Hansen.
The Symposium covered the big issues ahead for digital health research, including AI, Indigenous data sovereignty, workforce readiness and using real world data in digital health research. Thank you to all our guest and QDHeC speakers and panellists, including consumer representatives Keren Pointon and Meg Jeppesen. Our 11 Higher Degree Research students were outstanding, too! Thanks to partners including Queensland Health, Stryker, Australian eHealth Research Centre , Health and Wellbeing Queensland, QCIF and Health Translation Queensland.
