Dr Aaron Sia is a geriatrician with special interests in cancer and palliative care. He is dual trained in General Medicine and Geriatrics, and has completed a Clinical Diploma of Palliative Medicine. He is a PhD Candidate with Professor Ruth Hubbard's team at the Centre for Health Services Research. His PhD project is titled Addressing Frailty in Older People with Haematological Malignancies, and his program of work aims to explore how the assessment of frailty can improve the care of older patients with haematological cancers, understand how frailty impacts on patients and their caregivers throughout their journey, and develop novel tools to make frailty assessment feasible in real-world clinical settings.
