Dr Maike Neuhaus

Maike is a health behaviour change scientist with more than 10 years’ experience in research and practice. She holds a Masters Degree in Psychology and a PhD in Public Health. At the Centre for Online Health, Maike applies her passion for research translation by leading the Centre’s consultancy services. Prior to joining the Centre for Online Health, Maike was responsible for the evidence-based development, implementation and evaluation of health behaviour interventions at UQ’s Cancer Prevention Research Centre as well as the Centre for Research in Geriatric Medicine. During her PhD, Maike identified effective strategies to reduce sitting, a newly identified health risk behaviour, in office workplaces. Maike has been contributing to UQ’s teaching program as regular tutor and guest lecturer since 2012.
