Dr Dominique Bird is the Program Manager for the Centre of Research Excellence in Telehealth at the Centre for Online Health, The University of Queensland.  Prior to this position, she was the TLC Diabetes Program Manager, Monash University, evaluating an automated conversational system for diabetes management, and the Project Director for a national study of quality of life in residential aged care facilities, Queensland University of Technology. Dominique completed her Medical Degree in France and a Master of Human Services (Rehabilitation Counselling) at Griffith University, Brisbane. In addition to clinical and public health research, Dominique has experience in the delivery of rehabilitation services. Her main research interests have focused in the past 10 years on innovative approaches to improve health delivery in particular, support for chronic disease self-management.
